Ok, occasionally I’m going to post a how-to and I figured I ought to have a place to find them easily.

Some general tips regarding sewing & pattern drafting:
- I draft my original patterns on paper towels whenever possible. It’s more like fabric than flat paper and is a good way to see if you’re on-track with how the garment should fit. you can use small pieces of tape to fit it together. Even better is the fact that paper towels are cheap (you can always get some at the bookstore bathroom if you’re flat broke)
- Tyvek is wonderful for cutting your finalized patterns out of. It takes repeated pin pricks, you can draw on it with permanent (and non) marker and it’s waterproof in case you’re a klutz like me!
