A couple days ago (–maybe last weekend even?) I managed to paint 2 of the PB heads that I bought on ebay a while back. I had painted them but one was cross-eyed and the other just didn’t look right so I ended up wiping their faces and trying again. I can definitely say they are better this time around and that I actually like the one with blue eyes (I feel very satisfied with how those came out) but not as pleased with the green eyed girl. She’s nice, don’t get me wrong–but I just don’t feel she got the same sort of spark as Blue-eyes.

Anyway, quick pic of Green eyes–

And for a few pics of Blue eyes *who I don;’t know why exactly, I feel is much more photogenic than Green eyes*

Well I have been busy the last couple days (ok more if I am honest!) I have been doing a bit of this and that and still struggling to learn my way around the sewing machine…I really wish the manual that came with it was more instructive :?

I made the black “turtleneck” that the “sisters” are wearing, as well as a few other shirts…and 2 pairs of jeans that are for my volks go guys.

Anyway, I finished making the couch cushions yesterday for both the orange and blue couches. I need only sew them closed on the side I stuffed them–which I’ll probably do tomorrow. (That’s hand sewing and I do hate it with a passion!) I painted the base of the blue one–but am not sure if i will bother with the orange one as I think I want the base wires to be thicker–more like tubing.

Will update more tomorrow.

I’m doing my best to make up for the time I lost last week! (ok and the one before that too)

I’ve been busy putting books together and trying to get some stuff ready for sale. Right now I’ve got my books grouped into different categories….I decided that if its not a paperback or hardcover book that is text only, that I should try to include between 2-4 printed pages (images) so that they can be propped open and just be cooler than those plain ‘ol books like that. It’s kind of a PIA to do it though because it means I can’t pre make my insides until I know which books I am making. *I know, I know–just make all of htem and stock pile…is probably what I should do)

Regardless…..

I’ve got to say that the #1 BEST THING about making the books……..is that any of the “rejects” are mine by default! hehee!

Ok so my categories of books so far: (meaning that these are books I actually have in possession)

  • Historic Fiction
  • Crime Fiction
  • Horror Fiction
  • Fantasy
  • Sci-Fi (mostly star trek and cyber punk stuff)
  • cook books
  • fashion
  • travel *travel guides* ;)
  • History
  • art–coffee table type books
  • art: instruction books (ok I don’t have a hell of a lot of those since I don’t tend to bother with them! LOL)
  • Biographies

Well there are a few others but they aren’t all that many so I don’t want to classify them separately.

Anyhow, my mock ups came out really well today so I’m feeling encouraged to keep at it. If nothing else I’ll have an awesome collection! Heh heh heh! :D
