These heads are seriously over-rooted with hair. I had to try to thin it out and event hen still decided to give them boil perms to get the hair to lie down flat.

Over all I’m happy with how they turned out. They’ll be going up for sale on Etsy this weekend since even though I like them I don’t have a use for them.

It looks like by tomorrow afternoon I should have some goodies listed in my etsy shop. I’m excited about this (very much so!) and hope that the photos I took today will come out well enough to use. Tomorrow I’ll post food goodies, and then if I can manage it, some of the other props I have made & ready to go (books, plants etc).

I think it would bother me less if I knew I had no use for the stuff. They’re all items that I planned on priming and then repainting so they’d look good and/or fit in with my vision of certain room sets.

Anyway, maybe over the weekend I’ll get around to snapping some photos and posting them here for y’all to see. If I don’t get any reasonable offers then I’ll flog them on the boards. Ugh. Make me offers folks. seriously.

I’m going to ditching  the following stuff:

• fabric
• 1:6 furniture
• 1:6 props

• I may ditch a few of my dolls/figures as well but I’m not sure at this point.

The majority of stuff is likely to be the doll furniture & varied props.  I want to narrow it down from 13 A4 sized paper boxes (furniture/props) to about 3 max. The doll/sewing  fabric needs to get whittled down from an over abundant 10 boxes to whatever I could comfortably fit into a smallish suitcase.

Yea, I know I’ve spent the last 3 years collecting this stuff—but—most of it isn’t special enough for me to go through the hassle of

1) shipping it home

or

2)incurring the cost and expense of crating it home. (This is an ongoing dialogue between M & myself about what we really NEED to take with us vs. what’s “habit”.   Hey I can easily & freely admit I’m a pack rat, but M has a problem (although he has 40 yrs worth of stuff spread between here and his folks place). Besides, I believe the occasional re-boot/total clear out is good for the soul.

After all, at the end of the day, it’s just stuff.

SOOOOoooooooooooo…..If anyone is looking for anything in specific (furniture/props/fabric) post a message and let me know. If I’ve got it I’ll let you know what I’m after (more than likely just a few bucks+postage)

I’m not doing a whole lot at the moment w/ relation to making things for the 1:6 hobby.  With that said,  I am still working on my photostory scripts (I managed to write another scene this week which makes me  happy).

I think I may be taking a mini break from the actual customization process until some things here level out. Plus,  I need to overhaul my “craftroom-office” since we hope to get the house on the market next month and in its current state no one will be impressed. (It really IS that bad looking at the moment. Fabric, dolls, heads, re-ment, books, clothes etc have exploded all over the place).

But I’m here, and as I work on things I’ll post them here. (I may also post some stuff that I am planning on getting rid of (mostly doll furniture and clothes etc).

I have one of these left that I am contemplating actually doing some modification work on. I hate the fact that the eyebrow scowl is molded into the plastic. I may try sanding it down on the “spare”.

I managed to get 1 Otaku  and 1PB head repainted.

Despite Max’s attempts to move into the 1:6 living room… I still managed a few pics!

I’m not super thrilled with either repaint, obviously my lack of practice is showing.

However, if I am being fair, the photos of the otaku re-paint don’t really do it justice.And ok, another thing…I will admit to finding the Otaku an easier head to paint than the nasty PB head! *kicks pb head*

I definitely need to get back to practicing. I think I’ll go back to working on obitsu for a while since I have a bunch of blank heads handy.

Well I have been busy the last couple days (ok more if I am honest!) I have been doing a bit of this and that and still struggling to learn my way around the sewing machine…I really wish the manual that came with it was more instructive

I made the black “turtleneck” that the “sisters” are wearing, as well as a few other shirts…and 2 pairs of jeans that are for my volks go guys.

Anyway, I finished making the couch cushions yesterday for both the orange and blue couches. I need only sew them closed on the side I stuffed them–which I’ll probably do tomorrow. (That’s hand sewing and I do hate it with a passion!) I painted the base of the blue one–but am not sure if i will bother with the orange one as I think I want the base wires to be thicker–more like tubing.

Will update more tomorrow.

 I’ve been busy putting books together and trying to get some stuff ready for sale. Right now I’ve got my books grouped into different categories….I decided that if its not a paperback or hardcover book that is text only, that I should try to include between 2-4 printed pages (images) so that they can be propped open and just be cooler than those plain ‘ol books like that. It’s kind of a PIA to do it though because it means I can’t pre make my insides until I know which books I am making. *I know, I know–just make all of htem and stock pile…is probably what I should do)

Regardless…..

I’ve got to say that the #1 BEST THING about making the books……..is that any of the “rejects” are mine by default! hehee!
