No, I haven’t forgotten I need to finish/wrap up my top-10 toys from 2008. I’ll do it soon.

I’m working on my health at the moment, and up until this weekend wasn’t able to do much with any of it. Or anything, for that matter.

Today I am feeling a bit better (although physically I hurt all over) and am going to try and see what I can do. I haven’t sewn in months, and Merrit keeps looking at me (mark moves him periodically and he is in the bathroom in the plants around the sink) He really needs some clothes. Clothes that fit him. Not clothes that he’s stolen from Nik, or from Cy Girls or GI Joes…He needs Merrit clothes.

He’s still wearing the jeans I made him in this post. (although he did steal one of the Azone for Men shirts I’d bought for Morgan. But even so, considering he’s probably my most cherished figure.,..he gets very little in the way of clothing.

Oh. yea, he does get other cool props (he’s got a Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle) and maybe someday I’ll manage to steal Mark’s BMX for him. Though I have hopes fo finding another, bike. We’ll see.

Anyway, back on the clothes front.

Maybe if I approach it as fun, and just see what I come out with (not even for who) maybe whatever I make, something will fit/work for Merrit. We’ll see. Maybe if it doesn’t fit Merrit’s personality it’ll fit that of Rupert.

I’m trying to make doll time for me. So I think that might help. have to see…I need to rememebr that sewing can be fun. That no one is going to be as picky about the clothes or how they’re sewn as I am, since I’m the one making them. the rolled collar doesn’t look right? Do over? Throw out? Just use it anyway and say that’s how merrit got it at the thrift shop?

I need to be less nitpicky.

  1. Less nitpicky? Good luck with that, I’ve been trying for years… (but I’m getting there, slowly, ever so slowly). As you’ve been trying to teach me for a long time – the most important part is the fun you have. You don’t feel like it? Find something else. ;)

I take it your foot is still not better? I still hope it’s nothing too serious, a sprain sometimes is more painful than a break. Elevate it, put some ice on it and a bandage around, if you still don’t want to go to the ER. Get well soon.

  2. Yes, you are right. I should remember to keep it fun. I think having been feeling the way I was …in a weird way has been good because I feel sort of like my figures & dolls & everything is new. Because I felt so removed from them and anything, really.

Foot is less swollen today, so we’ll see! :)
