Just in case anyone was curious and wanted to know–We’ve all made it here to the US in good health and with only minimal drama! YAY!! :D
We’re staying with family and they’re awesome people and the cats are settling down after the transatlantic flight (and drive from Newark to upstate NY). Mark is starting to get the idea of how things work here (he’s going for his learner’s permit tomorrow), I’m settling in too…I only got into trouble once for driving on the wrong side of the road!!! :P and we’ve been to New Hampshire a couple of times looking at properties and are now also considering Central and Western NY as options too.

Yea, I know–who really cares about that right? I’m all excited because I went into the local target and OMFG! I found DOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLS! Not just one sad and pathetic fashionista doll…..I found a double shelf full of Stardolls, and some older Barbie Basics *and the new summer time ones* and OMG–Clothing sets for the Stardolls! *EYES POPPING OUT OF HEAD AND ROLLING DOWN ISLE* Yes, it might seem a bit of an over reaction….but you have no idea how freaking awesomely cool that is. I haven’t bought anything (I want to, but I have to buy a 1:1 sewing machine first, and I can’t do that til I have a house to put it in…so there is a moratorium on doll buying no matter how much stuff I see and want!)

There are TWO TRUs nearby and of course I’ve been dying to go into those too….I haven’t (just because I’m a totally rotten/cranky window shopper and I know I’ll just walk out of there pouting and doll-free). But it’s still great! :D

Speaking of the doll stuff…all my favorites made it ok through the airline handling and are with me. Of course they’re all wrapped up and still trapped in the purple carry on bag, but I can’t really take them out and do anything with them here…so like the other stuff they have to wait. I don’t think that I’d really ever realized how much of a part of my daily life my dolls & action figures were. Even if I didn’t play or pose them, I had them thereyou know? I could glance up and see them in various situations, or posed on props etc. So I will be very glad when we can find a place, buy it, move in and unpack! (of all the amazing stuff I packed in my luggage (gobs of re-ment, dolls, 1:6 furniture and clothes) the only thing than went missing was some 1:1 undies. Not sure WTF good those would be for someone else….but hey. I’m more than happy to replace some underwear if it means all my 1:6 stuff made the trip ok! :D :D :D

Anyway that’s the quick update for now.
