While I have not been doing much of anything physically for the hobby I have been working on the profiles for characters showing up in the Quinlan Chronicles.

Over the last week, aside from having 2 migraines (oh joy), I have managed to get the majority of Cass’s profile completed and have a start on Paloma & Viv’s. I’m still sitting on the fence somewhat about what Vivienne’s (Viv) profession should be…

Take a look at her: (realize she’s in her evening out clothing ;) ) and tell me (if anyone reads this blog, that is…) which of the following professions might seem to fit her best?

Vivienne: in the grey set Vivienne: face shot

Should Viv be a:

  • Chemist (as in working in the lab)
  • Forensics specialist–possibly in Forensic Toxicology?  (probably not criminalistics)
  • something else? (suggestions)

Anyway, here’s to hoping that over the weekend I can get the completed profiles up on the web, and maybe do a spot of work on the website for the Chronicles!

Something scientific related could be fun. You know… having her in a lab coat during the day, behaving professionally and then changing her behaviour in her free time. Could be good for some misunderstandings and complications, if you like this sort of story developement. I’m thinking Pride and Prejudice.

But from the first impression I got she’s kind of sweet (and in the second pic even a bit cautious) looking, so maybe she won’t be too comfortable in a probably man-dominated work surronding.

Maybe something related to social work would be better.

Well I considered Social Worker, but I think my past experience in working in psychiatry *we had 3 social workers affiliated with our dept* is such that I don’t really feel I could portray them without them being caricatures of people I knew. So I’ll have to skip that one…

About the scientific angle –it could be fun–and allow me to do some research along those lines (I like to have a decent idea of what my characters are on about). I agree that there would be possibilities to use it to advantage in the stories! ;)

I’m thinking that although Viv looks sweet, I think she may be the velvet gove over an iron fist sort of woman. And I think she would be very dominant in her own workspace.

Now…If I DO go the scientific route–I’ll have to make her a lab coat! :? (Although the plus side is that if she’s in that field she may come as a guest lecturer to the university, and–I have the lab table set up already from my birthday last year! WOOOO!)

  3. I’m so excited to see the new Photostory stuff. As for Viv she appears to be woman who knows her stuff. The forensic toxicologist is a great angle.

    Thanks R! ;)
I’m finally starting to feel that I’m making head way on getting the crap gathered that I need to start the actual shooting of photos!
*yay!* Sooooo…. with luck, I’ll get the first episode out near the end of Oct. Keep tuned ;)
