Of course I couldn’t leave well enough alone!

This is what I did today:

Raven:

I decided to wipe Raven’s face & tried to repaint her today.  I’m much happier with the new resultant Raven, and although (IMO) she looks more wide eyed (and less angsty) I think she’ll do for a younger student & trying to rebel younger sister.

Following on Raven’s heels is Zach.

He was something of an experiment & I’m not sure how I feel about him. I don’t paint male dolls very well & it shows. (don’t mind the stray flocking in the pics)

And then there’s this girl……

(She needs a name)

Do you think she is a 1st or 2nd year student???

She was a pre-rooted obitsu head &  is on a volks eb-a body. I feel she’s got some spark to her (although I also think she looks slightly cross-eyed). Even with the eye issue I didn’t want to wipe her because I do like the vibe I’m getting.

So there you have it–some more of my students for the photostories.

  1. Raven looks good, I thought her first version was fine, but this is just as good. She looks a bit worried or at least very self conscious perhaps.

Zach reminds of of actor Chris Evans… I just saw Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and he was in that and I’m getting that same really cocky and arrogant vibe from Zach. Good job, you say do don’t paint guys well, but I think he came out fine and really conveys character.

I love the hair of the third girl just as the hair on Portia. Looks really good.

    Keep it up :)

  2. I love her T shirt as well… Really cool. Makes me want to start making my custom t shirts again, just such a pain getting the t shirts themselves lol

  3. Oooh, fab job across the board! Raven looks younger & more innocent this time, I think it seems to suit her well. And I agree with Will, I don’t think you have much trouble painting guys! Zach is hot! (Hope you were careful with the flocking! ) Un-named girl is my favorite, though. (If you had a love emoticon, it would go here, lol) I actually thought she was factory painted. (I mean that in good way.) Kickass job– she has a ton of personality! (She looks first year to me.)

We WILL catch up this week!

  4. Hrrrmmmmmmm. I still think Raven’s not *quite* right. I dunno what it is. She doesn’t look emo or goth but she does look very mature. XD

Zach is cool. You did a good job on him.

Obitsu girl is interesting. She seems like a deadpan character… like nothing would phase her. Very… Emily the Strange-ish, if you know what I mean.

  5. Impressive output for a day, and they’re all great! I think the attitude dissonance in Raven is entirely in her eyebrows; as Will mentioned, they make her look worried.

  6. Ooh my!! I love that flock job! Zach looks fantastic – good job Erica.
