Well yesterday wasn’t as productive as I’d hoped it would be (partly due in fact to having stayed up so late with the whole quilt thing…still catching up on sleep LOL)
I did however start working on my canvases. I have been wanting to do some painting and of course–to do that I need some canvas to paint on! And as much as I wish I could do 1:1 paintings right now the space is really prohibitive. So 1:6 to the rescue!
Anyway, this is what I got done yesterday:
I stretched the canvases (14 in total) and this morning & this afternoon I’ve been working on getting them primed. Then during the week we’ll see. I’d like to use my oil paints on them but they take so long to dry in our place that it’s not idea (not when you consider things here are uber dust magnets)
I’ll probably use acrylics…but who knows?
Anyway that’s the deal for today.

Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome. This is the whole reason I get giddy over sixth scale– seeing real stuff shrunk down to mini size!  These look great! I can’t wait to see what you paint!
Hey! You listed stuff! Go you! Off to etsy to see what you’ve done!
Aww thanks C!
We’ll see how the weke goes and maybe I’ll get to do some painting! Or…I might just work on roomset stuff…or start another quilt! *too many choices!*
You’re right!! I did finally get some stuff listed for Etsy (only took me forever!)
So cool. So amazing. So small. You just work magic with 1/6th. I know what you mean about oil paint. My mom loves to oil paint but it does take a long time to dry. Maybe you could try one of two in oil and just put them somewhere out of the way and see what happens. With them being so small maybe they would take less time to dry. Can’t wait to see what you paint on them.
