I’m taking a mini break from the cafe (for probably a WHOLE DAY!) LOL!
I’m going to sit down and clear off my sewing area and try my hand at quilting again. For those who remember–I was working on a 1:6 log cabin quilt

Of course, though–I wouldn’t be me if I hadn’t misplaced my box of quilt squares! (someday I’ll figure out what “safe place” I put them in! but until then I’m going to start on something called a Ticker Tape Quilt.
They seem kind of my speed and certainly a little bit less labor intensive than the log cabin blocks (I’m still racking my brain for where they are–especially after I made that special trip to buy more fabric for the colors) I’m going to try to do one for one of the student Dorm room beds. We’ll see how it goes. If nothing else it’ll help keep my brain busy & functioning!
I’ll update with that, and the cafe when I get back to it.

Don’t you hate when that happens? My “safe place”must be in someone else’s house, because once I put things somewhere I know I’ll remember, I never see them again, lol! Can’t wait to see you new quilt, and I hope you find the other one!
Yeah, sometimes you just have to step away from a project for a day or two so you don’t get burnt out– especially one as intense as the cafe! Have fun!
Oh I know can relate to those “safe places” too. I have several of them and let me tell you they are extremely safe. There’s no doubt in my mind that whatever I put in them that they are still there waiting “safely” to be used. Now if I could just freaking find them already. More projects go abandoned that way. LOL!
Love the quilt idea and what you have started. That has to be interesting working in such small scale. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
