Welcome to Friday Monologue #5 !!

Thanks for being patient with the delay!

I’ve learned something during this FM.  I should always try to actually do the dialogue the day of or after shooting the photos. I delayed a bit on this one due to RL stuff and when it came time to work on it some of the commentary that had sprung to mind while shooting disappeared.  Now I know better next time!

I tried to make the images smaller this time so feedback on how well they display would be good! Also, I know a few of the words in some speech bubbles got slightly cut off. It’s the program I’m using so *shrug* I’ll try to keep it from happening again (ie catching it in one of the steps & fixing it before I do all the other stuff)

  1. Great Job, the images are still clear and load faster. Also great work on the photoshopped expressions. :)

  2. Wow, stripping at 16? That’s not legal, is it? I have a feeling she’d work her way around that, anyway. She seems very self sufficient. Interesting career path, stripper turned baker. Hope we get to see the Mocha Loca one day. I have to say, when she talked about a specialty bakery, my mind automatically went to exotic cakes  I hope things work out for her relationship-wise. On again off again relationships are never good.

I love her posing, playing with her jewelry and everything. And she’s very pretty. I love her eyes  I’m always so surprised when people mention the photoshopped expressions, and then I have to go back and look. I guess they’re just so real to me, I don’t notice it as anything out of the ordinary, lol. (Hopefully that’s a compliment!)

I’m so glad you’re back, and I hope you’re feeling better. And don’t you hate it when you don’t write things down and they disappear! Aaaargh!

    • Hehe! Thanks C!

I do try to make the photoshopped expressions look as natural as I can…there is a certain amount of limitation though, since I’m working with a static face, y’know? I do hope they don’t come out looking too cheesy.

Yep, she was underage, but I think it was a case of she was gonna do it come hell or high water. So she did, and that’s that. I actually had more for her to say during the monologue, but I was afraid of making it too long.

Noooo….I don’t think she’s into making erotic cakes! LMAO! Alison doesn’t seem to connect her baking love with physical stuff.

And thank, I’m glad to be able to have some breathing space. I’m going to work on some mods this weekend. :cheerful:

  3. Ooh – very intriguing character! I immediately sped off to look up August in your Quinlan profiles but his piccie wasn’t clickable for more info – awww! :getlost: I hope we get to find out more about their relationship in the future. *looks hopeful*.

    • Glad everyone’s liking it so far! Alison is one of those characters that I never planned on making–she started out as a background character but since then she’s become a full fledged, main cast member.

I have a lot more to find out about her (and to share–eventually–) and there willbe a Friday Monologue with August…Right now it’s just not the right time yet (he needs some clothes LOL)

  4. Funny that … how you fall into jobs, I imagine it’s what happens to most people.

I liked this one best, the most endearing character.

I’ll have to go back and check out the Photoshopping

    • Thanks! I’m glad that you liked Alison. I think in a lot of ways she’s one of the most interesting in Quinlan. I’m glad that the photoshopping was subtle enough that you had to go back and look for it! :cheerful:

  5. Heyyyyy – That’s really good! Impressive!

Very subtle too, but makes all the difference.

  6. Just wanted to let you know since I got the link here I’ve enjoyed your Friday monologues. They’re fun.
