Welcome to Friday Monologue #4 !!

Here’s FM#4 featuring Viv.

Please if you do actually read it — comment in this post. I’m specifically interested in how the images appear in your browsers (are they too big, not big enough, hard to read, etc.)

I’d appreciate it.

    Hello!
Thank you for this FM edition. Viv is a rather interesting character!

Regarding your inquiry as to image sizes, I am using a netbook with a 1024×600 screen and I find the pictures to be wonderful!
Sure, I have to scroll a bit but your photography is excellent. Everything is crystal clear.

Thanks! I’m glad that it’s working well for the netbook! And, of course, that you thought Viv was interesting!

Pictures require a bit of scrolling, but everything is clear and readable.

Like everyone in Quinlan Land, Viv has sexual secrets, I see. ^_^ :w00t:

      Thanks, MW!
I figured that they’d take some scrolling but I was worried that it would be hard on readers. Glad everything was clear–I sharpen the images up a 2nd time after creating them in the program. I’m not sure why but it seems to blur the words slightly otherwise.

And I don’t know if everyone in Quinlan has a sexual related secret–but there sure are a lot of folks with various interests LOL  Life would be boring for them otherwise (ok maybe not, but I like it!)

    Great stuff as usual :)

    Keep them coming :)

:cheerful: I’ll try! I’m going to try and see what I can get done. I’d really like to do an occasional 2-in-one.

Yay! First, congrats on getting it finished. I know you’ve been working so hard  I like Viv. Her personality seems full of contradictions, which I love, because it’s so real. She’s certainly not your stereotypical bombshell, with her smarty pants job and teapot collection, lol. (Bizarrely, I have a character who collects teapots too!) Seems like she’s been through a lot lately, with her divorce and everything. Probably for the best. I can’t see her ever being a Stepford wife, and once the mother in law goes south, forget it, you’ll never win her back. Great as usual, this one is my favorite so far! Looking forward to more Viv in the future.

Oh, and I’m reading it on a 1280 x 1024 screen, and it looks perfect. It’s basically comic book size, just with scrolling instead of flipping pages. Everything is easy to read and take in.

Thanks C! This week has been a real mixed bag of things for me (some getting done–some falling through the cracks!

Yea, Viv didn’t turn out the way I’d originally planned her (personality wise) She’s evolved into someone I’m going to enjoy writing plots for (which is always good!) instead of always relegating her to the backgrounds (like I’d pretty much planned).

“Bizarrely, I have a character who collects teapots too!”
LOL! Awesome! I’ve seen some fantastic miniature ones on Etsy (evil evil etsy wants my monies!!) So I think I’m gonna try that for some of her collection.

I’m glad that the photostory images are showing up well on the screen. I may be erring on the side of caution (I’m making things 96dpi, and trying to keep them less than 660px wide) since I really have no clue what the standard is on monitors anymore!

I also really like Viv! She’s got plenty of sass. I also LOVE her outfit – did you make it Erica?

  6. Michelle Michelle says:

Yeah!!! I’ve been waiting for Viv’s story and it was so worth it. I LOVE Viv and can’t wait to see more of her and learn more about her…and Dan. :-D Oh and I’m on a laptop, widescreen, 1280X1224 and it’s perfect on my screen. Love, love, love your monologues. Can’t wait to see who’s next. :-)
