Here she is…at last!

Senkara is my first fantasy custom in years and she came out much better than I had hoped for. Here are some more picts as well as some information about what I did to make her! (if pictures are not visible look for them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/corsetkitten/sets/72157603588260137/

Figure:
Volks Excellent Body type-J. Hands replaced with donor hands (unceremoniously chopped off 2 barbies). Hand were pared down to fit post holes. Both pairs were boil-set to reposition hands-fingers. Feet are the larger feet that come with the figure (fit better in the boot and make for better balance)
Head:
Obitsu head Type 3.
Painted with golden brand acrylics and sealed.
Weapons:
Staff: miscellaneous wood that was carved to remove knots, sanded. Then burned with soldering iron to make patterns.
Holes drilled in end-caps and metal aiglets were inserted & covered with skived leather.
Staff was then Then weathered with pastels and coated with matte sealant.
Clothing:
All clothing is completely removable. *hey you never know what a girl might have to do in her line of work!*
Puff sleeved shirt: loose weave muslin. Hand dyed and sewn.
Skirt: micro suede (weathering with pastels & acrylics).
Bracers: Micro suede. Machine embroidered at openings and on CF. Close with 1/16 size grommets. Swarovski crystals attached.
Cape: some slinky fabric. (pain to sew!) attaches to armor at back with hook & eye fasteners.
Boots: Leather with wood base covered over with chamois leather. Heels were carved and cast out of auto body filler and then painted. Lace up the back with 1/16 grommets. Boots were weathered with acrylics.
Armor: (all armor is completely removable)
Cuirass & Greaves:Â Attach at the back of the legs with leather ties (wanted to use buckles but didnt have the patience to cast)
They were then given washes and highlights.
Accessories:
Choker: skived brown leather. Added copper wire and seed beads. Removable.
Belt: Skived black leather.
Potion Bottle: attached trim & flat back swarovski crystals. added round leather bottom and straps to attach to belt.
Belt pouch: Made of skived brown leather. dry brushed with acrylics.
Book: made of skived black leather, thin pieces of styrene to act as bookboards, vellum design paper, paper and Uhu glue. printed on high resolution paper.
It was pretty much assembled the way you would assemble a 1:1 hardcover book. Lastly, added jewelry findings for decoration. The edges of each page were painted with yellow ochre and then when dried painted with irridescent gold.

She’s gorgeous! What did you use to make the armor?
Thanks Karyss!
I used acrylics that were applied in many layers and dried between then with some light sanding.
